The Saint-Michel tumulus is a megalithic grave mound, located east of Carnac in Brittany. It is the largest grave mound in continental Europe. The tumulus was built during the fifth millennium BC and discovered in 1862, when researchers found a central vault containing funerary furniture: axes, pearls and flint tools.
